About the Role

We are currently seeking a Conversion Manager in anticipation of the opening of our brand-new Kemps Creek facility. This role is responsible for leading the safe, efficient and cost-effective operation of multiple state-of-the-art converting machines. Key metrics include safety, quality, reliability and productivity.

As the key people leader for this department, the role is responsible for the ongoing training and development of team members across all shifts, building capability, engagement and high performance.

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong people leadership capability, with the ability to lead and develop future leaders which is critical to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety – Promote and sustain a strong safety culture across converting operations
  • Compliance – Ensure adherence to all company safety procedures and site standards
  • People Leadership – Manage individual and team performance, develop capability, and maintain training programs
  • Quality – Utilise systems and processes to ensure product consistency, drive continuous improvement, and investigate and resolve non-conformances
  • Reliability – Proactively monitor machine performance, use data-driven decision making to identify trends, and drive improvement opportunities
  • Operational Excellence – Lead deployment of Lean tools including 5S, Visual Management, Standard Work, Daily Management Systems, SMED, TPM, and drive RCA and structured problem solving
